I'm sorry to say this but there is no Yahoo! Messenger for Linux/Ubuntu but there is a program you can get called Pidgin that works with Ubuntu you just download it at: http://www.pidgin.im/download/ Just sign in with your yahoo ID and your set! You recive email notifications and chat notifications you can send smileys files etc! Or if you don't want to download anything you can use webmessenger: http://www.webmessenger.yahoo.com
