News flash. Now I don't see a difference at all! I had mistakenly activated "Auto Volume Leveling" in WMP and this is why the volume levels were low and dull. Now it is same or even better (because I put SRS WoW Effect at 25% in WMP). Higher SRS values will destroy the audio. But slight addition gives a nice feeling.

foobar2000 all the way, btw its developed by the same developer that made the winamps direct sound output plug, peter pawlowski, without any noise shaping foobars sound output still crispier than of any other player.

my advise is not to use any DSP and keep alll the equalizers flat, if u have a good audio system, the sound output from the foobar2000 is better than any other else, ofcourse u can use the noise sharpning or the X-fi crystalizer for low quality audio files, personnaly i dont like the x-fi crystalizer wich boast that it can upsample a 16 audio stream to 24 bit and by that it can increase sound detail, wich is not mathematically possible cuz the details in the 16 bit audio will be the same on the 24 bit one or less because of the entrophy.
