Mass effect 3 help

Hi guys
I just downloaded mass effect 3 and installed it (downloaded from 2 different sources and then went to game shop and rented 4 dvds just to get it work)

but i cant seems to get it working
every time I execute the masseffect3.exe it shows error message saying
"Application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Re installing the application may fix this problem"

I tried reinstalling but problem remains same.

my system configurations are
Windows xp sp 3
2 GB ram
Nvidia Gforce 8500GT 256mb

I know my graphic card is below minimum requirements but i don't see how this error is related to it. it would be logical if game starts with screwed graphics .

Any suggestions on this?

install the dvd u rented.its seems to be the full game 13gb reloaded version.

epa wela inne.
but
mama oka mage lap eke install kala(windows 7). ethakota game eka on wenawa. on wela new game kiyama crash wenawa(mama hithanne graphic madi nisa) but PC eke duwanne nathi ekane wade

XP SP 3 is utter shit.There is your problem

We had a Update (40MB) for that crashing issue. duno if its the same one

found the culprit

Problem was with visual C++ redistributes.
Installed Visual C++ as gudaya said.
and ow its running smoothly
