It is the best that you put that complaint as now there is a written record against that guy, in case he harms you. If you have a lawyer friend/ relative, you should also tell him what happened, so the Police cannot stay silent as you can get that lawyer to do a couple of simple inquiries into the case (believe me lawyers have the power to do that and Police respect lawyers if not for us, as they know the law), so that the Police knows that you are not a weak chap. In addition if you too have a politico friend, just tell him what happened, so you have more safety, just in case.
But do not ever make plans to attack that person, as then you will be in unnecessary trouble, as he also can complaint to the Police against you, which will only put you in real trouble with a possible arrest record. Believe me one arrest record is enough to ruin your chances of foreign employment, migration etc.,
I hope you updated the Police about the latest threat he made to your mother at night. If you did not, go do it immediately, or atleast update the local Police station over the phone, as otherwise you will be treated as fabricating a story after few days.
In my opinion, I do not think this case will ever go to court, as no physical damage has been done. More than likely, one visit from the Police to that guy's house, would make him think twice before he threaten you again for horning to get your own gate opened! If he does again, give a simple call to the local Police station, and he will be arrested, taking into consideration the previous complaint.
By all means, try to stay safe, as this is SL, and if I were you I would use the bus, until this complaint gets examined and the guy promises at the Police station to not to mess with you again.
