A group of 120 refugees have crossed over to government controlled areas at the Omanthai police check point yesterday. They were handed over to refugee camps after recording statements police said.

from 70,000 according to the government,
through around 200,000 according to UN estimates,
up to 300,000 or more according to Tamil groups,"
said UN Under Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs John Holmes
told Security Council members.

how long it will take at this rate.
