There are pros and cons of both Butter and Margarine.

Butter is a natural product. It does have saturated fats and Cholesterol. But it also has Vitamin K2, Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) which has healthy properties, Omega 3 etc -
whereas Margarine is a totally artificial product, typically produced from various vetegtable oils.

There are two methods to make margarine. The old method of Hydrogenation and the newer technique of interesterification.
Hydrogenation increases the oil’s saturated fat content, but also unhealthy trans fats are formed as a side product.
Interesterification does not create trans fats.
I have not got a clue which oil or which process is used by MeadowLea.

If you want to really stay healthy probably you should avoid both. It's said that even ants do not go near margarine. I haven't tested this out but anyone can and let us know. It's probably because their senses can possibly detect something that's not natural.

I would prefer Butter over margarine. In fact, we never use margarine except to make cakes. (apparently the consistency of the cake is better with margarine)

Eat the real natural product. I might eat one slice of buttered bread once a week, so it's not going to make any difference at all.
