Ignorance is said to be bliss and a lack of education is one determinant that permeates persecution. However, through the use of foul language (especially from individuals who claim to be from sl but actually reside in melb, aus) i don't think many of you realise that you're providing written evidence of persecution, discrimination, abuse and threats based on ethnicity. You actually do a greater job of justifying the need for and rationale behind the Tamil quest for self determination.

If a link to this discussion was posted to a wider western audience it would do nothing but humiliate the respected reputation expatriate sri lankans hold abroad. If people thought before they spoke or acted then Sri Lanka would not be one of the world's top 20 "failed states" today (http://www.foreignpolicy.com/story/cms.php?story_id=4350&page=1).
