    Can you please explain with examples of food that you can consume with out hurting or killing a live being? As I told before this is for me to gain knowledge on Buddism.

    i think he doent understand our buddhism.. that phylosopy is too hard to understand people like you.. this is usless thing explaining buddhism here... just explain sombody worthy...

    This argument on trees being alive is getting tired. You are beating a dead horse. Btw since when was, a vegetable alive? :eek: Are flowers alive too then? :eek: :eek:

    Buddhism says..

    "Mano Pubbangama Dhamma, Mano setta.. Mano maya, Manasawe Paduttena, Bhasathiwa Karothiwa"

    Basically means.. MIND IS THE CHIEF, MIND IS THE BEGINNING OF OUR ACTIONS!

    Buddhism does not allow people to go for extremes that is beyond their control.. when walking on the pathway you may kill hundreds of millions of insects during your entire life time, should you be held responsible for their deaths? Do you even think of these when you walking?

    Besides for you to complete such a sin there are 5 things that needs to be completed which we've discussed/discuss in this thread!

    And killing animals are wrong because based on the principal that animal does have the fear of death just like we do, do you know trees have such feelings too? that is beyond our control... so walk on the MIDDLE PATH!! :)
