other than the reduced SMS price, there' no advantage for those who takes voice calls as the rates are the same in the old packages and the new ones.
old package users atleast get the loyalty discounts and long call discounts.

BTW, this is true for all networks. Not just mobitel.

actually no.
Using GPRS without using even a 25/- daily plan is a good way to loose all the phone credit really fast.
This is because you're getting charged for bytes downloaded as well as uploaded. just try downloading a few emails on GPRS alone.

Even a 25/- plan is good for a day's use without being charged by the byte.

Telekom malaysia owns the other half of SLT. So mobitel is half owned by them too. Which makes it only half SL.
