Harman Multimedia raised eyebrows a couple of years ago with its eye-catching JBL Creature speaker system (about $100 street), which looked like a cross between Darth Vader's helmet and a jellyfish. Now the company has followed up with the equally radical JBL Encounter 2.1, which is shaped like a pair of bug-eyed aliens and a Buck Rogers spaceship.

The Encounter's sci-fi styling should boost sales among buyers who purchase speakers online or off the shelf without first hearing how they sound. But the system has much more to offer than Spielbergian aesthetics. It doesn't quite match the clarity, detail, and lifelike midrange of the less-expensive Altec Lansing MX5020or the Klipsch ProMedia Ultra 2.0 (our most recent Editors' Choice among value-priced speaker systems). But it is a bit louder than either of these two-piece competitors, and its bass unit produces output that extends more than an octave deeper.

Well it's kinda hard to explain...I believe Intel is more stable than AMD...and most important thing is i like the status...it's like using a Nokia phone, you know there are so many brands available with all the options but you use only nokia...

well I've never followed a trend,even not a tshirt brand,Ive alwayaa lived by my fashion..
I'm alwayaa opposite and paddle towards tide not with it.Thats one reason I use AMD..

it's not the trend...I believe Intel is better than AMD even if its on the top of all the benchmark charts...
