well I've never followed a trend,even not a tshirt brand,Ive alwayaa lived by my fashion..
I'm alwayaa opposite and paddle towards tide not with it.Thats one reason I use AMD..

You know those days how Intel nicely dominated the market, Processors from Intel were only went up few 100's MHz whenever they released a new processor, until AMD came to the scene and soon enough unleashed 1Gig... till then Intel was going at their own sweet pace and entrance of AMD made processor market rocketed.... and now within 10 years or so look where we are??

So in a way I think we must thank AMD, cuz AMD made Intel to push the Accelerator! Which was good for consumers like us! So my point is AMD was good for the last few years and topped benchmarks and it was nice to be owning an AMD!! But Intel did come back strongly and currently its the best...

So its up to us to decide.. Whether to be a die hard AMD fan and stuck with AMD which performs below Intel currently, or to take advantage of this battle that has been going on and move to the best performing technology at present!!!

Sorry bro.It didnt banged the AMDs.But the quad did.And by a very little the C2D extreame did.But apart frm that and considering the price Intel wasnt up for that.I accept that they have 2 cores.But d u knw why Intel cant have 2 cores each perform more than 2.6 Ghz?Coz of the heat..Intel Heats up like old scholl AMD athlons which had a porcylane die..

Yeah! That was these few years!! I'm talking about 1990's... remember when Intel had the whole pie to themselves... How they dominated the market? And suddenly with AMD in the scene.. there was rush for Giga Hertz PC's !!!??

Intel Quad does performs better than Athlon FX-62!!!

To compete the market.
Get a quick access into the desktops
It has some taiwan factories
Labs r in Germany where the materials r found somewhat cheap

Once Intel recalled one oftheir lot of CPUs coz of a logic error.Windows calculator was used to find that error using a calculation while u can see if CPU has the error it gave a wrong answer..
Intel was forced to do that.fortunately It was approx 1000 CPUs
AMD never had a one like that..
Decide where is the hole..

I accept bro.U r correct.3D is the weakness of AMD.When comes to 3D they perform about 80% of Intel.If I was a 3D designer i'll use an Intel nomatter what.But When it comes to 2D,Gaming ,Video rendering it is AMD.Thats coz Intel use hyper threading
and AMD use Hyper Transport..[Not the names technologies r very much differ.In simple its like Parallel frm Intel and Serial frm AMD,not exact]
And remind u one thing,toms hardware is a great AMD fan too.They r powered by AMD Opteron...

i know about toms hardware...that's why i said no matter what chart shows i go for intel...

I was a part-time hardware tech for about two years when i was studying for my Network and Telecommunication degree so i had a chance to analyze more pc hardware...and from my experience i know how stable Intel processors are... can you believe that im using my p4 3.2 processor without the cpu fan...

I was goin to give u a stress test conducted by toms hardware which also there werent any fans and room temp is 35c!!.Intel failed that one.My dialup cant hold the traffic in Toms.If not I'll post it here.Search for it.It'll sure give up a idea of AMDs,stableness..

Bluwish green with zeroes means its still cool and near normal state

Anusha why do many gaming PCs and Gamers like AMD?
Spell me out,I'm not a gamer..
But some site I read a top 10 gaming pc review that there were 6 intel 4 AMD.
thats somewhat true i think coz 85~90 of the desktop market is frm Intel..

This was because Athon64/X2 was far superior to PentiumD in gaming. But now it's ther other way round. Core 2 Duo is far superior to Athlon64/X2.
