I am not so sure about what you say. BTW I am not a financial expert.
Usually a moratorium of a loan allows you not to pay the usual monthly loan component. However , the lender adds the interest. So the interest for that period gets accrued. It is not an interest free period.

Some lenders might give you a Grace period for a loan. In this case there is NO interest added.

Thanks machan. May be I'm wrong. I'm not an expert on this either. I'll check with the bank as well. :)

This is not true machan. This depends on the financial institutions as well. For example i have a BOC loan of 2.6 Mn. I have asked a relief from them and what they have agreed is for me to pay the loan installment after 3 months. What they have done is extended my loan term period up to 63 months. Previously it was only 60 months.

So what’s wrong with the post machan? You have to pay interest for that additional 3 months . Keep in mind always, banks are Not Charitable Institutions.. They have to bear a huge cost in this pandemic, so you better get clear understanding by calling the bank again.
