You can very easily live in Netherlands without Dutch. If you are planning to get Dutch citizenship then it is better to learn some dutch

You can very easily live in Netherlands without Dutch. If you are planning to get Dutch citizenship then it is better to learn some dutch

To get PR after 5 years need to do dutch language exam. No special language requirement for citizenship.

And it's almost impossible to get a non IT job in Netherlands without dutch fluency unless it's a international/NGO.

And from personal experience, to land in a senior IT role (in a non international company) you need dutch as you need to manage teams and work with dutch clients (whom sometimes write all there architecture documentations and everything in dutch).

ahh yes dutch language exam is for both citizenship & PR. Not only for citizenship.

For non IT professionals, I think there are still various International companies hire English only speaking employees. So comparing with other EU countries, it is a big advantage.

If development team directly communicate with clients, then yes it is better to learn dutch. But there are many product companies in NL which does not require you to communicate with clients directly.
