And i must clearly mention this. I left this conversation but came here once again cos i was really impressed by the way you talk. I highly appreciated the way you tried to explain your religious concepts and justify your religion without attacking another. But I had to answer in this thread since you have quoted my post. You still can clear up things and it will help others to get educated and will solves myths related to islam as well. But I will not be criticizing anymore.

you have to understand where this is coming from....in Islam it is said there have been almost hundreds of Prophets before Muhammad....this includes Moses (Musa)....Abraham (Ibrahim)....Solomon (Sulaiman)...even Jesus (Isa)...but all these prophets and their followers were told to be humble and submitting....leading to explanation that Jesus was VERY peace loving and didn't advocate force....and what happened to these prophets and their true followers...they were killed off.....so as Muhammad was said to be the last prophet...and to remove the stamp for these followers to be overtly peace loving...God gave them the degree to fight back or make preemptive strikes only....(note fight back not attack on own).....and like any general who talks smack about the enemy to boost moral...God hence talked to His followers through the Quran....as Muslims this is what we are taught...this is what Islam is....but of course every family has a black sheep.....
can't deny that either.....but even you have to admit honor killing is a cultural pressure....nothing religious....but there ARE relgious punishments...dealt out by Islam...such as stoning for adultery and rape....and once again i point to an internal Islamic reason here....to us if we suffer on earth....some of our sins gets reduced...even if its a common cold...if we muddle through for God...we get rewarded....so if someone does a big sin like rape a girl...he should rightly be stoned...for the girl and her loved ones its true retribution....for the guy its repentance coz he is suffering on earth...and for the crowds its a warning....can you ask for something better to solve such volatile situations?....
