Hey everyone,

Since the SLT FUP I got a Suntel Connection.... then I noticed that the Suntel connection is very slow for Torrents (7-8KB/s).. however its very fast for Viewing web pages and other single connection tasks (50-60KB/s). The SLT is the opposite of it (50KB/s for Torrents, 8KB/s for web pages) and so I reconfigured the network.

SLT router is responsible for giving speed for Torrents the Laptop downloads, but since SLT web browsing is slow, the website viewing connection of the laptop are re-routed through a proxy server on the local network that is located on my PC, which is connected to the internet through Suntel Broadband, which has very high speeds but very slow torrent speeds.

So that means the Laptop web browsing is also fast. The cross over cable connects the two routers together to make ONE network where my Work-group computers are made available. I disabled DHCP on my SLT router to avoid DHCP conflicts... the Suntel Router handles DHCP for the entire network. Oh one more thing... since DHCP is issued from the Suntel Router, the DHCP gateway issued for Laptop routes it through Suntel Router... I manually overwrote the Gateway (Only the Gateway) configuration on the Laptop so it routes to the SLT router.

Suntel Router - DLink DIR-600 - Port Forwarding does not work if Gateway is not router IP
SLT Router - UTstarcom 300G4

I tried to use multiple network cards but sadly, Windows can only use ONE INTERNET connection at a time. There is a software called NAT32 that gives a solution to this problem but its expensive :sorry:. (Image Hosted in Sri Lankan local server! ;) )
