Hi guys,

can anyone tell me weather i can connect two different geforce models together. Eg- GeForce 8600 and GeForce 8800,something lyk dat.

can someone let me know please

You can...but it will perform as twice as fast as the SLOWEST card (at best; because you can't get twice the performance anyway).

8800 card alone will be faster than 8600+8800 SLI setup.

    yeah buy a one faster card like 800gts or gtx ultra's 2 but i don't think you could find any in SL...if you sli,also consider about ur power unit...coz sli need at least a 500w power supply

    Don't look at it in terms of wattage only.
    For example, dexter.morgan.666 told me his 8800GTS 320 couldn't even start with the normal 500W power supplies you get with normal cases. He had to buy a high quality 550W PSU for his PC. That's only a 320MB!!! Think of two 8800 Ultras :shocked:

    hmmm that's strange bocz in the nvidia site they say that minimum power supply for 8800gts is 400w... sure that's a 500w power supply
