2 help ya out ya need 2 further explain ya problem.. have ya been downloadin @ good speedz earlier? did da speedz plummet after ya installed a router or have ya been using a modem rite through out? have ya done port forwardin if it is a router?

windows update usually drainz out ya speed only when itz dloadin updatez n not al da time.. once da updatez r dloaded da bandwidth is left free for usage.. so basically it cannot be linked to the update alone..

give us more info bout ya prob..

Just because you download as torrents or have a fast connection doesn't mean data packets will come fast. Maybe you don't have enough seeders or maybe there are too much leechers of the file(s) you are downloading.

limit ya uploadin speed to 80% of the total upload speed.. in termz o 512 kbps.. let approx.9-10 kbps be ya upload speed.. wut do ya mean chainin da files you are dloadin?

have ya got the NAT problem now? that is when you start dloadin if you look closely @ da screen whethery you see the words NAT error etc.. Just double check and see whether ZoneAlarm has resorted 2 default configuration and also see whether the Windows Firewall has been activated.. if its activated.. deactive it..

de problem is dat i tried chaining da files dat im downloading. I tried 3 torrent files none of dem seem 2 pass 5kbps.

Even though I have been downloading torrents for about 6 months now, I don't have a thorough knowledge about downloading them. All I know is I know where to get hold of fast torrents and they are very fast. When the torrents are not downloading very fast, I always have a queue in Flashget to download files from http or ftp. That way I almost always fully utilize my bandwidth.

it dependz on da seed:leech ratio .. da seed side outta b higher 4 higher speedz.. n i recommend ya do not download multiple torrents without allocating bandwidth equally amongst them.. dload 1 torrent n den switch 2 da next.. chances r dat allocation o bandwidth between da torrentz too would not result in much cuz sometimez a particular torrent will be slow n as a result some bandwidth is kinda lost..

alwayz dload 1 torrent @ a time and ensure it has a good amount o seederz.. for example 500 seederz n 1500 leecherz is not alwayz the best when compared 2 50 seederz and 150 leechers... it varies depending on the other computers involved in dat particular torrent..

else as a last resort.. search 4 da rapidshare linkoz out dere on da net for that particular thing ya r dloadin n dload from 7 PM onwardz SL time til morn... speedz r normally good between dis period.. but rapidshare will require ya 2 b constantly @ ya comp so itz not da best o ideas...

Oh man, you are talking about 50 seeders and 150 leechers!!! For the torrents I usually download, there are 50 seeders and 1 or 2 leechers :D:D:D
