New here, wish I was in Sri Lanka

Hi guys and Gals,

I have never step foot in Sri Lanka since 1980 sadly. My siblings and mom have visited back, my mom does every year.
My dads Tamil and moms Sinhalese. I went to St Peters, in Colombo. I still am looking to find at least of of my classmates from back then, still no luck.
I also grew up in Kalutara, Colombo and Jaffna. Before I left Sri Lanka my family toured the whole of Sri Lanka and thats the beautiful memory I have left.
I have lived and traveled around the world, but Sri Lanka and its people what I miss the most. Currently I love in Canada. I would love to visit Sri Lanka soon, but I don;t speak any Sinhalese or Tamil. I only speak English and French.
I love this site. I came to see all the pics of Sri Lanka's daily life, current state of music, movies and culture.

well, if your mom is making an annual trip to SL, no reason for you not to join her. That'll help overcome your language issues as well even though its not much of a problem.

Hey welcome to elakiri.Try to visit SL sometime.Even I wasnt born here but my parents came back to SL when I was very small so I caught up on the language.Try and learn a bit of sinhala and tamil,I am sure your parents can help you.
