Mitsubishi promises a plug-in hybrid Outlander based on the electric technology developed and tested by Mitsubishi,
for the record the PX-MiEVII concept, featured a 2.0l four cylinder petrol engine combined with two electric motors of 60kW each, placed on each axle they offer four-wheel drive and a fuel consumption of only 1.7l/100km with a total range of 800km, autonomy in electric only is estimated at 50km.
The Outlander will also be available with combustion engines, efficient "MIVEC" petrol and diesel engines, 2 and 4 wheel drive:
a 2.0l 4 cylinder petrol and a 2.2l turbo diesel 4 cylinder with emissions below 130g/km, thanks to Mitsubishi’s Start & Stop called Auto Stop & Go.
The Mitsubishi Outlander 2012 will host advanced safety technologies such as automatic braking, the adaptive cruise-control, lane departure warning system, and an indicator of efficiency that will help drivers to optimize their eco-driving.
The Outlander will be launched in Russia this summer before expanding to Europe and the rest of the world.
