The government is to introduce laws to regularise students migrating for educational purpose, a spokesman for the Higher Education Ministry said.
He said this was after complaints received from parents by the Minister of Higher Education Minister S.B. Dissanayake about cases where students at times have been sent to non-existing institutions overseas.
He said already a group of students were stranded in UK while similar complaints have been received from other countries as well.
He said a parliamentary Act will be presented in parliament to introduce new laws.
