Taxes for Mobile, Internet and Pay Television services will be increased from today night.
With effect from 1st January 2016, as per government budget proposal following Tax components and rates would be applicable for Dialog Mobile, Roaming, Mobile Broadband, Fixed Broadband, CDMA, DTV & ISP services would be as follows.
Note : Prepaid Tax revision would be implemented from 1st of January 2016 and Postpaid Tax revision implementation date would be notified later.
Example for an IDD call to the UAE for 1 Minute and 20 Seconds;
* Normal IDD rate = Rs.30 per minute
* Call charge + Taxes ( Other Government Levy + NBT + IDD Levy[Per Min])
Charges for 1 Sec with Effective Taxes (OGL + NBT) = (Rs.30/60) + (Rs.30/60 * 0.0639) = Rs. 0.53195
Charges for 80 secs with Effective Taxes = Rs.0.53195 * 80 = Rs. 42.56
IDD Levy for 80 Secs = (Rs.3 / 60) * 80 = Rs. 4
Total IDD Charge including total applicable Taxes = (Rs.42.56 + Rs.4) = Rs.46.56
