I talked with this guy and he brings Apple products from Singapore shops and sell here. The normal way. That's all.
Nothing official, no apple store. I am not saying he is selling fake. But buy with the normal risk of 3rd party sellers who import stuff to sri lanka.

Apple not offcially supporting many devices to Sri Lanka including iPhone. You have to jailbreak it to get your incoming phone numbers sync with address book numbers too.
FaceTime problems etc..

I'm not agree with this part.. you don't need to jailbreak.. you just need to buy a factory unlocked iphone.. in Hongkong they sell iphone which are not locked. so those work in sri lanka without a single problem.
His price is too much. It is only about 73000/= in HK.
So this seems to be he is a 3rd party seller.. Who buy from those countries and sell in sri lanka by keeping a commission for himself..

It sync names with address book, if only the number saved in the form 07.. or 011... but not +947.. or +9411

No GTRZ Only thing we need is unlocking to getting an iphone to work here. There arent any name sync problems with factory unlocked or jailbreaked iphones. No mods needed its just working

Thanks for the info GTRZ , but just a small correction u dont need to jail break to get ur incoming numbers(its a amu lie lol) , and facetime would work fine on wifi only if u wana use over 3g u would need to jailbreak . i used an iphone when i came there on holiday , works perfect !! I am not an iphone fan but I would say IOS is powerful !!
