Firefox 2.0.0.6 in Ubuntu is blistering fast! I mean i dont know in mili seconds. Yet its faster in Ubuntu than using FF in Windows!

If you use the firefox bundled with ubuntu it's slow, but if you download it from mozilla, you will find it's a bit faster.

I agree that firefox works faster in linux than windows
BTW you can also try opera on linux. :D

Hey what about fire fox. i don't think any one is using IE neda....
Opera developers say not to use this as the main browser. Currently this is a test build.

is it seriouzly 5 times faster da??? machan
Page rendering times and page loading times are two different things. It's the page loading times that matters the most, and to me, Firefox does a better job than Opera on my 512k connection. Sometimes Firefox loads pages in 10 seconds, and Opera can't even load the same page in 20 seconds...

Flash doesn't work in Firefox x64, at least in Windows platform. Flash had worked in an old build (Fx 1.5.x days) for some people, but it doesn't work anymore.

looks like we will have to wait until adobe officially release 64bit plugins for windows/os x/linux. I'll never use a browser if it can't play .flv files.
    :( :(

RAM usage is no issue to me. All I need is peace of mind. Some sites are not compatible with Opera. Maybe it's not Opera's fault, but I can't help it.

Yes it's not the fault of opera, a standards compliant site would work ok in opera as well as any browser on earth. Except the fact that ie is slow in implementing standards
