Nineteen photographs out of the initial 21 photographs of people who posed for pornographic videos have been handed over to the Police spokesperson Ranjith Gunasekera by the Children and Women’s Bureau on Tuesday, stated OIC Buddhika Balachandra of the Children and Women’s Bureau.
Photographs of two persons have been taken out from the initial lot due to another Police inquiry elsewhere.
“The photographs are not only of girls. There are photographs of men as well,” rectified OIC Balachandra. “There are photographs of men aged about 40 and girls about 18-year-old,” he stated. Mr. Balachandra also said that since proper identification of these pornographic actresses was unapparent, at the moment, the girls could be below the age of 18 and above 16.
“Women in their fifties normally do not pose for some pornographic videos. It is the 16 to 18-year-olds who are exploited for this purpose. So we can assume that they are of that age,” he said. Referring to the rumour that the photographs included those of monks, the OIC stated that without definite information he could not say whether they were really robed-monks or imposters.
“A few men posing for these films might be robed monks. But we cannot say that for sure. After publishing these photographs and receiving a feedback from the public we might be able to say that,” said OIC Balachandra.
These photographs were already published on a certain website yesterday morning. All 19 photographs were posed online along with clear photographs of six of these porn stars, including photographs of two men; with one looking like a man in a robe.
These photographs have been taken straight out of the indecent videos. OIC Balachandra stated since they were acting on a court order, he did not feel that this was a wrong step and it was their belief that it would, in fact benefit the girls as they could get away from this kind of disorderly behaviour as soon as possible.
