Dear friends and members,

this is what happened to me( a small incident)

when i was in some mighty work with a Artist( i cant say names and stuff). a guy buzzed me. and said he is a member of elakiri. so i thank him for coming to elakiri. and i got a mail from him as well ... i cant say all the details then you guys getting the point what im saying and im not insulting that particular member. i never wanted to do such thing like that.

and then i said to him to create a Thread and put what ever he want. but he dont know how to create a thread. then i help him giving the link. then he dont know what to click for craeting a thread. then i gave that link also. then he gave me some stuff to upload and i uploaded to my some server and gave him the link as well. after that he is asking me what should i have to put in the Message and Titles ?/. jesus christ i really got pissed. coz i was in some real work and i waisted all the time but this guy wants everything to do it from my self. and i help that also after that before i giving the link he post the thread. then i got F@#$@!# pissed and i said @#%@!#%^@#$!@$!#$ !@#! !@#!@ $@#$@ !@#$!@..

and finally when we talk in real Sinhala Language lot of ppl can understand. so he also got to know that and he did it rite finally..

from this Incident we can think

01. why Sri Lankan People not think and do ?
02. Why arn't they Practical ?
03. why are they waiting for someone's Push or advice?
04. Are they so idiots?

What im saying is ... please please please.. B practical.. try from ur own hands.. dont ask from another one. first try if it didnt work then ask from someone. then you know u even tried..

I agree with u Lich.........Lankans (some/mayb most f them) r lyk that. Even I'd do the same thing that u did 4 him. (Including slanging also).

Some ppl I knw only think about themselves and theyll stick to u untill their work is done. After that theyll kick ya ass showing u r nt worth even a penny! So keeping them handslength is the best option. (I mean those kinda selfish idiotic ppl. NT TALKING ABOUT REAL FRIENDS)

lot of Schools and Teachers are stick to the books.. thats the main wrong thing that they giving to the students. they never teach out of the Box Stuff..

Yeah true......!!Try 2 get things done on u're own,well if u can't it's okay 2 ask some1 but u shouldn't totally depend on that person & drive him nuts!!!

Hay LICH and also every one who use this community,

You r right with this stuff. But we have to understand that every one of us r not in the higher education level and also if we have a higher education level, sometimes we don't have a knowledge in the field of computer science. and also, if somebody have a knowledge (some knowledge) in computer field, sometimes (most of the times) they don't have a knowledge in web.

Because of the living cost in SL, poor people like us don't have money to buy a computer. if we buy a computer, we don't have money to access internet. Also lease lines r not still popular. Telephone chargers are higher. ( I got a computer after i've done my AL's and now 3-years passed and still i didn't have a chance to access to the internet in my home. I have used my friends computers and I have begun to access to the internet before three months. I can manage this somehow. But everyone cannot do that. I'm not shy to tell that when i first registered to this site, i don't know how to take the first one's reply to my reply. I tried my self to find it so many times and finally i found my self the tab " Quote ". Now i know how to do it. but........)

And also the English knowledge is directly infect to this problem.

But now, I think the new generation in SL can manage it. B'cos they have chances to use computers and the internet in their schools (not most of the children who lived in villages).

So, my idea is that we have to help them in every-time if they have any problem. we have to look at them kindly, b'cos if we don't help them, they have no place to survive their selves.


I don't know I'm right or not. but i believe this.

ya i agree to you but... the main problem in Education in Sri Lanka. coz Teacher never teach outof the box subjects.. they stick with the Books...

the students are not wrong but the Education is wrong. they are getting wrong ideas and stuff...

they never go beyond those Books..

and i never went for Computer classes.. even i never had a PC. my brother had one thats all. but i saw him doing work and i learn from those stuff. my friends help me lot to buy a PC. Specially Thusith and some other friends.. so what im saying is before asking some help you have to try. from trying you learn a lot.. even i lost my whole Hard coz i tried. but from that i learn a lot. those times my friends were so scared to Format the Hard drive but i did... and i know it for the next time..

eh.. i d have 2 agree wit ink... we might b affluent wit solvin our own probz but when it comez 2 our country.. we ve gotta play a role in helpin otherz out 4 da simple reason al r not blessed wit computer proficiency n some just cant learn easily even though dey try hard... culture, education, poverty al playz a role n derefore da only ethical option is 2 help ppl out n give dem some good step by step introz o @least a site 2 gain some knwledge.. n basically most ppl r not so familiar wit english over here in SL.. so datz 2 factor too...

You r right , but , plz try to think like this. you don't know/you don't have a enough knowledge in english. so, if u r trying to send a reply or you want to begin a new thread, it is difficult to u to do it. it is not your prob, it is a prob of your english knowledge. That is a small example.

So, as your point, and i'm also agreed to it, if that person tried to do it, if he have enough strength to try it, he can win. If he failed by trying and after that he ask about that from someone, he can understand it better that the first time.

And also, that kind of a person is mostly not using his/her own computer. and they have afraid to use the computer. B'cos they think the computer is like a snow ball and it will broken suddenly. ( it is a sensitive thing, but it isn't corrupt or damage suddenly as they thought. if such thing has happened , that is their unfortunate.)
That kind of a persons will be ok, when they use it little time. we have to look after them till they r familiar with it.

lol. ya you are rite. even when i use my brothers PC i got kinda scared but i never studied from someone or Classes. i did my own. we have to think and do stuff.. isnt it ?
