Suriweva Maha Vidyalaya is a small school of about 850 students, situated near the Sinaharaja
Forest reserve. It got a set of 25 computers under an ADB sponsored project.
a. What are the basic requirements for a suitable computer room? Describe briefly.
b. Advice on a suitable topology to be used for connecting the computers. Justify.
The project also supports internet connections to the computers. Suriweva is not connected to a
telephone land-line grid, though they have electricity.
c. Suggest some alternate ways of connecting to the web.
d. Write some advantages and drawbacks of internet access.
e. What are the solutions to overcome those drawbacks? Describe briefly.
Now the project has ended, Suriweva Maha Vidyalaya faces lots of problems trying to maintain
the computer lab.
f. List some problems that the school may face.
g. What are your solutions for the school to sustain the computer lab? Explain
