Thinking of going doing the same. What are the disadvantages of giving up Sri Lankan citizenship?
Hmm...I'm not 100% sure but some could be
    - You may need to pay visa fees when you visit SL
    - You can't buy any properties unless inherited or gifted, even if you could the process might be tedious
    - If you decide to get dual citizenship, that'll cost you around 350K-400K or even more

Ow machan mama kiyanna hadana de munta therenne Naha.

yesh. If you have money you can buy citizenship like the businessmen do. it costs around 20 million,
A homeless person from a 1st world country will get his powerful passport almost free. you have to spend 20 million to get his privilege

dont get me wrong but 20million is penunts when you save 45% tax every month. I will never get 1st world citizenship even if its free.
If sri lanka fails i will get dual citizenship from carribian, asian country with a good passport rank. they are much lower and flexible with tax

I think it depends on what sort of business you do and who you are. Most Sri lankans go abroad searching for a job with good salary. They won't mind paying the tax .The 1st world country gave them a job that they will never get in Sri Lanka.

Carribean is a good choice. I am wondering why I don't see any Sri Lankans businessman getting a citizenship in the carribean. Maybe they have no idea what it is. Maybe they have financial problems. Not everyone is rich
