for information
first IUCDs(cupper divices) are available in Sri Lanka in all the government hospitals and MOH clinics!
second they are not painful! you really wouldnt know its there!
last but not least they can be inserted to women who has given birth to at lest one child!!!!!(multiparous) its not for those who havent had child birth(nulliparous)

But if u in after 5 days after the unprotected intercourse the tabs will not answare surely...
this is a the good solution for the that type of situation...
U can do this in pvt sector also...

OCP stands for Oral contraceptive pills...
It has hormonal tabs and with the placebo..

Mithuri is famous here as the OCP...

Any scientific basis for that?

AFAIK, IUDs (copper) reacts with sperm cell wall and the eggs cell wall which prevents them from generating an embryo...

So why it's not recommended to be used by nulliparous?
