. It's an old model. It is better to buy outside sri lanka bcoz the price is too high here 
. The new PS3 Slim costs around 249$. but in SL they sell for 50,000/= + (WTF?)

u should have bought an Xbox360. cause it might hard to modify that. infact modified consoles can't connect with the Playstation network which is totally free.
though XLive Network is NOT free there are some alternative services are available in online which don't check the legitimacy of the console. so you may feel free play online while using a modified console. and free games.most of times Xbox360 games come out more early,small size compare with Blu-RAY PS3 games (but lower textures but it doesn't make sense unless you have a big screen).
