You must have seen some terrible Japanese cars. The majority, however, are quite reliable. Sure CV joints and stuff will need replacing but the chassis is thick as fuck, engine can run 1 million miles if maintained well, and almost everything works fine for many years. Those who do take their vehicles to the garages all the time are either unlucky, or they simply care about perfecting everything - wheel balancing, interior clean up, etc. Don't assume they spend the time in garages because they have to. They do because they can and love their vehicle.

I have seen, travelled in many Japanese cars from friends, relatives and even cabs in Japan as well.

I didn't condemn any Japanese car.

All I said is that 30/40 year old cars are not suitable for use. Yes the body is thick as fuck. but its a very old car. why would you use such an antique car?

Its can be a good running car with fixes, but why would you pay a large some for it when you can buy a brand new vehicle for a lesser price?

like you said some people are just unlucky. but why take a risk????? :)

I know you already received your vehicle and I'm looking forward to a proper review.
I have bought 3 cars in my life, the last one was a brand new. Buying brand new is one of the worst decisions I made, because I'm immediately losing its value by a good 20-30 percentage. It was a Premio, and todays Premio/Allions cost a lot less than what I paid. If I bought a used one, I could have sold it for a decent price, probably with some profit.

Nobody buys a 30/40 year old car. It's 2016, and a 30 year old car would be made in 1986. That's a downright wreck of a car. Post-2000 cars have the best balance between safety and technology.

Comparing a used Japanese car to a brand new Indian car is still an Apple vs Orange comparison. It is unfair for both teams.

Anyway, post your damn review already machan. I'm not going to buy one, but it's worth seeing what this hype is all about.

I don't going to comment on the 30/40 year old car remark. Because it's plainly stupid argument.

But I do like to comment on the point that says "Its can be a good running car with fixes, but why would you pay a large some for it when you can buy a brand new vehicle for a lesser price?".

First thing is we are comparing similarly prized or lesser prized old cars with the so called brand new car. So the point here is why paying additional money for depreciation when you can loose less with an good old car that might give more features comparing with the brand new car.

There are more points to talk about. But I would like to stick for a one point for the time being.
