    How to Limit Current with a Resistor

    Some components, such as light-emitting diodes, are very sensitive to current. A few milliamps of current is enough to make an LED glow; a few hundred milliamps is enough to destroy the LED.

    308703.image0.jpg

    The technical specifications of the LED tell you how much current the LED can handle. In the case of a standard 5 mm red LED the maximum allowable current is 28 mA.

    To be safe and make sure that you don't destroy the LED with too much current, round the maximum current down to 25 mA.

    To calculate the desired resistance, you divide the voltage (3 V) by the current (0.025 A). The result is 120 Ω.

    Do not connect the LED directly to the battery without a resistor. If you do, the LED will flash brightly, and then it will be dead forever.

    මට තේරෙන විදිය මෙහෙමයි..
    රෙසිස්ටර් කරන්ට් එක ලිමිට් කරන්ඩ භාවිතා කරනව
    I=V/R කිව්වම ඒක නිකම්ම තේරෙන්ඩ ඕන

    අනික තමා වෝල්ටේජ් එක ඩ්‍රොප් කරගන්ඩත් භාවිතා කරනව
    V=IR
    ඒ කියන්නෙ රෙසිස්ටරේ හරහා ගලන ධාරාව වැඩි වෙන්ඩ වැඩි වෙන්ඩ, ඩ්‍රොප් වෙන වෝල්ටේජ් එක වැඩි වෙනව

    මේක වැරදියි current එක වැඩි උනා කියලා LED එක පිච්චෙන් නැ
    මොකද භාරය (LED එක) කොච්චර current තිබ්බත් තමන්ට අවශ්‍ය ගාන විතරයි ගන්නේ
    LED එක පිච්චෙනනේ විභව අන්තරය (voltage එක) වැඩි උනොත් විතරයි

    The resistive element is made from a mixture of finely ground (powdered) carbon and an insulating material (usually ceramic). A resin holds the mixture together. The resistance is determined by the ratio of the fill material (the powdered ceramic) to the carbon. Higher concentrations of carbon— a good conductor— result in lower resistance.

    ඕක මචන් ඉලෙක්රොනික් වල මුලීක දැනීම තියන කෙනෙක් දන්නවා

    හිතන්ඩ car stereo එකක් එකේ දාලා තියනවා
    12V
    1.5A
    වගේ

    අපි එක කෙලින්ම battery එකට සම්බන්ද කරනවා (සාමාන්‍ය 12V 65Ah car battery එකක crank
    amp එක 500A වගේ ගන්ඩ පුළුවන්) ඒ උනාට car stereo එකට අවුලක් වෙන් නැ එක battery
    එකෙන් ගන්නේ එකට අවශ්‍ය 1.5A විතරයි.

    උඹ කියන එක හරි. ඒ වුණාට LED බලබ් අපි ධාරාවෙන් ආරක්ෂා කරගන්ඩ ඕන..
    ඇත්තටම මේ LED කතාව මාත් දැනගත්තෙ ළඟදි. LED එකට තනියම ධාරාව සීමා කරගන්ඩ හැකියාවක් නෑ.. උඹ කියන ඔය ඈම්ප්, සූත්‍රිකා පහන් වගේ දේවල් වලට, ධාරාව අවශ්‍ය තරමට සීමා කරගන්ඩ පුලුවන්..
    LED බල්බ් එකකට කරන්ට් එක දෙද්දි විතරක් කතාව වෙනස්. වෝල්ටේජ් එකට අමතරව කරන්ට් එකත් පාලනයක් ඇතිව තමා දෙන්ඩ ඕන..
