The best things in life are dangerous: Motorcycles and Women!
Are motorcycles really dangerous?
No. What dangerous is getting off the couch on a Sunday and finding out that we were sitting there for years. Therefore never trade the thrills of living for the security of existence.
Sex is cool, but have you ever ridden a motorcycle?
I’m not talking about racing. Or commuting from point A to B. Or riding to get to work. I’m talking about riding for the joy of riding & for the love of motorcycles.
So far sex has not been upgraded to include,
Sun in your face... Wind in your arms... And chasing the setting sun... On a winding country road...
That’s Freedom.
No therapy in the world can do what burning a tank full of gas and riding on the open road can do for you. Race the rain & ride the wind... Hear the sound of the motor & feel the vibration... It’s a magic time. It will put a big smile on your face.
We all dream about flying. When you ride a motorcycle you are flying. You are flying through space. At the twist of a throttle. The unobscured view of that everything going on around you. The bike becomes weightless. It just disappears. And all that's left is the body moving through space and time. You feel that moment. It asks you a question. The only question that matters. Who are you? You are that moment.
Riding a bike is a very peaceful moment. It’s just you and your bike. And you are just enjoying being on the bike. It’s unlike anything else that you’ll ever feel.
So why do motorcycles cause this effect on their owners?
They are not just machines. They are alive. They have something that turns everything richer, intense and unforgettable. It’s like a part of us. That’s why everyone still has their first bike inside garage. The smell of petrol in the carb, mixed with some oil on the floor, the old tricks that only the owner knows to start the engine in cold weather. All these little details create a strong connection between the bike and its owner. It’s a love affair like nothing else.
And the smaller and the older the bike is the more intense the ride will be. A twenty minute ride will feel like forty. 60kmph will seem like 100. Feeling the bike is unique. There is no electric start. You don’t push a button and there you go. You have to kick start it. You gotta play with the carb. It’s very emotional. To get one of those bikes running and hear the open exhaust and how they sound is just incredible.
Having a motorcycle won’t give you long life. But one thing is certain. It will give you unforgettable moments of excitement and happiness.
It doesn’t matter if you are young or old.
Neither if you have small or big motorcycle.
We all feel the same.
The freedom to go wherever we want.
So if you want to be happy for a day, drink.
If you want to be happy for a year, marry.
But if you want to be happy for a lifetime, ride a motorcycle.
It’s sex on two wheels.
