On paper Samsung has better specs than N97, and the upcoming SE Idou will be even better with a 12MP camera, both Samsung and SE have faster processors with 3D acceleration. I'd rather get one of those instead of a N97. I'm not very impressed by N97 (especially given the price). If it came out last year it would've been a really big hit. IMO this time Nokia failed to deliver... The highest N series phone is not the best smartphone anymore.. :(

yeah but look at the votes.... my point of view is to go for the cheapest phone from here because all 3 phones are close in ratings, so the main point one must see is the price range....

yahhh..it gt a physycl qwerty keybrd + digital qwerty.bt dat keybrd sux ...its very hard for fst typing cuz spacebar isnt placed @ d ryte place.n sm other bugs on n97S keybrd....u better search sm reviews on utube.theres a vdo frm gadget tv abt diz matter.

for a girl lyk u i would lyk 2 suggest nokia 5800...as i knw ur using 5610 or 5310 nah..so diz is d latest device frm xpress music series...;)

mmmmmmm if u r looking for more options u better go for samsung ominia hd aka i8910.8mpx cam,3.7 inch disply which is similer to n 97's screen.n all other functions.diz one is really faster than n97..so go for it if u cn..

diz time nokia failed to deliver a high end device as d latest device frm n series.wt a shame ..it only hs 5 mpx..poor housing...anemanda...:P

so im also going to buy ominia hd in next month.so it wlll b gr8 cuz its full hd.u cn feel 720p vdo quality if u hv hd televition,,,,,,,,

Yep, its a physical keyboard. But most other touch screen smart phones like Nokia 5800 XM, Apple iPhone, Samsung Omnia , SE Experia etc all have on screen full QWERTY keyboards with tactile feedback (meaning when you press a key the phone vibrates to let you know that your touch was identified).

So even if you get a one without a physical keyboard, still you can type much fatster than with a regular number pad with predictive text. I really love 5800 XM’s onscreen keyboard. Once you get used to it there is no going back. Most phones support multiple input methods. For example 5800 XM (and the N97) has 4 modes
    • Fullscreen QWERTY
    • Mini QWERTY
    • Hand writing recondition
    • Regular Number pad with predictive input

I highly recommend the Nokia 5800 XM if you are looking for a good smartphone with multimedia capabilities : Music and a large screen for watching video clips. But the camera is not very good under low light conditions. however, given the price and other features, camera quality tolerable. The battery life is really good especially when listening to music, because it has a dedicated audio chip that can play songs up to 35hrs on a single charge.

Buy it if you really want those features like higher level of internet browsing.
Have lot of stuff to store in that 32GB memory.
It has far better responsive touch screen than any other Nokia and a built in FM transmitter too.

It has only 3 row QWERTY keyboard. So all who used to 5 row QWERTY keyboards will need to change

I haven't personally used a N97, but it also has a resistive touch screen, so it can't be that good. I mean most other high end phones (iPhone, Samsung Omnia HD and SE Idou) use capacitive screens. I've used an iPhone and it is certainly better than the Nokia 5800 (again a resistive screen).

Nokia use resistive touchscreens coz then you can get the benefit in both worlds. I mean use it with a stylus too.
You can draw, handwriting recognition etc.. Iphones are not business phones.
And yes N97 has far better responding touch screen than 5800.

Yeah I too prefer a resistive screen despite of the low responsiveness. BTW I dint mean iPhone is better as in better overall, Just the touch screen is better. rest of the features suck bigtime given the price tag.... Infact I can't stand the iPhone especially the fanboyism and hype.

If N97 has a better touch screen then great. Sofar I've seen mixed reviews about the sensitiveness of N97. Maybe because most of them are comparing it against the iPhone.
