SLT 1600 Package to Fibre

We have a 1600Rs Old SLT package, which was the ADSL unlimited package back then.
SLT is pushing us hard to move to a Fibre connection

Did anyone make this switch?

Web Family Plus fibre has 40GB standard data (plus 60GB night time data)

When the FUP get applied in the Fibre connection is it usable ?

I didn't have the unlimited connection but 980 or something adsl package.
then I switched to the 1490 SLT fiber. Even with the Fiber once exceed FUP limit speed drops to 64kbps or something, not usable.

මම දන්න තරමින් ඕක අන්ලිමිටඩ් නෙමෙයි. 2012-2013 වගේ ඔය ඔක්කොම ලිමිටඩ් කරේ. උඹට කවදාවත් ලිමිට් එක පැනල නැතුව ඇති. ඔය කනෙක්ෂන් එකෙත් ලිමිට් එකක් තියෙනව. කිසිම තේරුමක් නෑ වෙබ් ෆැමිලි එකට මාරු කරපං. ඇත්තටම අන්ලිමිටඩ් නම් ටිකක් හරි ප්‍රශ්නයක් නෑ.

අපිට ඒ කාලෙ 2008-2012 කාලෙ, 512 කියන්නෙ පට්ට ස්පීඩ්. 56Kbps Model එකෙන් මේකට මාරු වුණාම නිකං දිව්‍යලෝකෙ ගියා වගේ. දැන් ඒ අතීතයට හැරිල බලද්දි මොනවද කියල හිතෙනව ඒව.

when FUP is applied it's unusable but there's no point of having an unlimited connection with 0.5mbps speed when you can have around 50 mbps all the time.....

Fuckers slow you down machan. There is no such thing called an unlimited package with SLT. I once had the old package you are talking about and had to fight with them every month because they slowed me down.

Best is to go for a modern package with a good speed and fare enough data bundle.
