This is not just an effort to make us feel proud. It is all about revealing our true identity. U said all our glory came from some other places & we are not that good since our students fail O/L. I do not think it has something to do with our glorious ancestors. If today's youth is failing its all because of media, society and somewhat carelessness of parents.

What I believe is that the real reason for our failure (if we r that pathatic as u say) is that people has forgotten who they really are and started believing foreigners who pray for the end of Sinhala lineage. Seeing most of morons who try to adopt foreign cultures does not make us proud at all.

Indians live according to their religions much more than us. The way to develop pragna (Satipatthana-Vipassana) is only available in Buddha dhamma. I other religions only Seela Samadhi is there. That smadhi also is not Samma samadhi.
One who has pragna has the ability to see something in relation to the whole. So a proper buddhist who practices Smma sati-Samma Samadhi practically can excel others easilly.
If he does not practice he is easily can go astray than people who follow other religions. They are made to follow their religions by rules. In Buddhist culture one should follow self desciplin. Otherwise he is lost.
If we should excel than ourselves we have to purify our minds and make our minds aware... No other way to develop ourselves will work unless you clear your hard disk and delete all the junk.

I totally disagree with that. Just because something is not ours but seems best we should not adopt that and forget what we really are. Things that seems good with other cultures may not be suitable for us.

Seela samadhi & pragna does not come with genes (well, pragna may be). its a practice and there are people who achieved success through it. Our people have these qualities (at least some what). Its just they still do not know of it. It is the very reason that we shout about our past to inform & help our own kind.

I already told u that this effort is not to make us feel proud. If v r digressing as humans somebody among us should take a step right? I think thats exactly whats happening right now. In order to do that we must have a clear idea about who we are and for sure what history says is not 100% true.
After all Ithihasaya Amathaka kala jaathiyak pawathinne naha wadi kaalayak. Therefore we should shout about it till everyone is awaken from their Indian dream.
