we try to build our mother land with peace.we dont have lot of nationality.we have only one, its Sinhala(Lions) .we allways try to build our products and develop a own production with global ideas. its a mirror of a our proud

To develop Our Country v shud change our peoples attitude first. v shud love our country not try to destroy. the government workers must take more responsible in providing ppl necesssary SErvices, without jst eating BULATH and sleeping

We can Trust Our President but da thing is whether v can trust the ppl under him. If they can continue What the President Start eventually the ppl vl definitely follow. the leaders in their respected areas must be strong

Buy Sri Lankan as much as possible. This helps a lot. For groceries and such, by from Co op Cities as much as possible.
Also grow veggies and fruits in your own garden as much as possible as well.

We are so poor people as we are totally dependent on foreign countries(in other words BEGGARS). So we have to reduce our expences, mainly we dont need this much ministers for sri lanka.You may know the expences for them.(They live with all the allowances that we have never heard of it.How can they realize the difficulties of a normal sri lankan????)


We need maximum utilization of our resources.Have to motivate local industries and exporters(Almost every resourses have been sold to foreign countries ).


We need educated people to develop the country(So people like mervin should be thrown out of the cabinet)

Every one should work for a united sri lanka not only by their words but also by their activities.

This might be true. But We are NOT so poor people because we are NOT totally dependent on foreign countries. Never think that we are the worst of the world.

Try atleast this simple thing for our country.

Do not spit or throw garbage on roads! Try to do these simple things. This will help us to build a clean and beautiful nation. So next time, when u chewing bubble gums or bulath or whatever, Spit it in a dust bin provided by CMC.

Let's make Srilanka a developed country from economy, society, culture and every other aspect of it.

Oh come on GRTZ , where is the TECHNOLOGY ?

Yes that is ture sri lanka is an argree country , but now there are the floks who are interesting in the technology very much.

We should diversify into more Value added products than primary industry. The govt. should reduce the subsidy on agriculture and invest in other fields such as secondary manufacturing and tertiary.

I agree agriculture is a strategic industry, but the market has to be opened up and competition has to increase with the inflow of imported food, where conventional farmers should switch to extensive methods whereby being able to achieve economies of scale.

Foreign direct investment should be fully encouraged and Sri Lanka should be portrayed as a business heaven like Doha or Bahrain. For the people who say taht foreign investment will result in money (proft) going out of the country, the net result is that employment will increase significanlty and so will total revenue and foriegn currency inflow. We need a kick start here.

EDIT: oh crap. i re-read the thread and it says what can WE do as citizens. well ofcourse the above mentioned cannot be done by us but the govt.

To replt to the topic I say we could promote our country via the internet and open up to opportunity. Maybe more people could improvise on this idea.
