Sri Lanka government has reportedly taken measures to screen visitors arriving in the island from countries with reported cases of the H1N1 influenza A (Swine Flu).
The sources at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake said the passengers arriving at the Airport from Mexico, the USA, UK, Spain, New Zealand, and Canada will be screened for the disease, in line with World Health Organisation (WHO) guidelines.
However there is still no known cases of H1N1 flu in Sri Lanka, the Health ministry confirmed.
Sri Lanka government has already taken measures to prevent the virus entering the country following the outbreaks in Mexico and few other countries.
