SWITCHING FROM PEO TV TO Dialog VIU HUB 2.0

My experience with Dialog Tv was not good. They changed the channels without informing. Some additional channels were given but those were useless to me. Even rental got changed (I do not have an issue on Tax but this was their package charges). So finally I left as they were very unethical and seems do not care about customers as they have virtual monopoly in Sattelite Tv at that time (they took over CBN Sat due to some court security issue ). My friends who have Peo Tv over a decade are happy, no complaints!!

But you know SLT also changed the package prices by 100rs. (That was months before this dollar crisis)
Anyway I agree with the point that changes in channels. SLT don't usually mess with channels.

Since i came across this thread i thought of sharing my opinion regarding the viu 2.0 new version (aka viu hub 2.5). So i hv experienced all the viu hub versions, n what i can conclude is that viu hub 2.0 is much more responsive and fast. Thanks to the latest amlogic chipset. The remote was one heck of an upgrade from from d old one, essential apps r easily accessible n no hiccups. The problems i came across is that the EPG isnt so called optimized. Like sometimes the UI crashes when the catchup option is selected several times. Also some past programmes cannot be viewed in the catchup section due to unknown reasons (hv experienced many times with local channels such as derana, itn, hiru, etc...). No PVR and PiP facilities. Picture quality wise i really cannot comment cz i hv used the normal HD box as well as viu hub 1.0, on my FHD tv, no noticable quality difference. Same old dialog tv SD quality.

At first it took sometime for my family members (specially my grandparents) to move from viu hub 1.0 (more like peotv) to viu 2.0 as the UI was a complete swap and complicated. Literally got scolded for changing to this . They are still not fluent with navigating to rewind n catchup options cz i know its not that easy.

Moving on to peotv, I have not used it bt i have experienced it in many places. The UI n EPG seems very polished. Peotv being an IPTV since day one, they know whats best. Anyway their packages r trash with limited number of channels compared to dialogtv packages. Only plus point is that peotv has a better image quality no matter what. The details are so crisp even if its SD.

Customer care is something that needs to be mentioned. With my experience, i must say that dialog has a way better customer care than slt.

Final thoughts. I personally prefer viu hub 2.0 as it got all those premium features like free VOD along with android tv, apart from traditional rewind and catch up facilities, but accessibility wise its peotv.

Literally got scolded for changing to this . They are still not fluent with navigating to rewind n catchup options cz i know its not that easy.

dp eke idla ena podi wire eka awulnm wthrai maru krnne. dn un loku wire bundles maru krnne or upgrade krnne nha.. adsl is outdated.. there are moving to fibre. that's the reason.. so no funds are allocated for copper line upgrading.

I haven't tried specific type that you are mentioned. in fact, I did not try to play any videos using USB. I've been using it for TV channels, both SD and HD, Prime video (HDR+ works great) and youtube. so far, no issues.

Netflix officially danata support karanne nah me device ekata. Habai oyata mobile version apk (arm64 v7) eka download karala use karanna puluwan man hithanne. Mouse ekak oneh navigate karanna. SD witharai balanna puluwan.

Most of my movies n tv series' r in hevc 10bit format. Hv tested both 720p n 1080p. Works fine bro .

hey bro. This just crossed my mind. I cant find anything about warranty information on the wesite.tried to contact CS but couldn't.Peo tv has lifetime warranty. they just give a new box if the issue is on our side. What about dialog?

I think dialog tv postpaid has lifetime warranty (for the box), i dont know whether the warranty cover LNB issues and power adapters. Since i havent encountered any problems with dialogtv till now, i cannot say exactly bro, but the prepaid one has only one year warranty.

I am also using dialog tv more than 4 years...but SD channels quality increased with deocder models...
catchup issue happening if your hbb connection signal quality is unstable(when router switch between cells.but you can lock them via settings or hotline)

dialog SD channels quality==>> VIU hub 2.5 > viu hub 2.0 > viu hub1.0 and HD decoders > SD decoder.

now dialogtv, peo connection boxes only get 1 year warranty.
Lifetime warranty in old connections.
