What if Tesla start to build Truck’s with their technology? If you’re a truck lover you must have definitely thought like that. Sometimes Tesla may have ideas to come in to truck industry as well. But this news is not from Tesla but a new company called Nikola from Utah.
They were doing all there planning and developments keeping it as a secret and the company claims that they have a group of wealthy private investors funding their project. And they have received some pre-orders already, even though still the product is in computers and documents. And Company promised to release the first working prototype by end of this year.
Trevor Milton a former executive at dHybrid System do the decision making for the company while Nikola is the latest company became famous after Faraday Future made their debut with a concept car at CES Las Vegas.
he Truck has a 150-galon-dHybrid storage behind its cab, which can fuels a turbine generator to charge 320-kilowatt hour battery. Then the battery makes the move by driving six motors, one motor per each wheel. Company call this truck by their name as “Nikola One”.
Company has plans to make a nationwide network of refueling stations to support their customers same way like Tesla did.
