    Actually DSL is not the very smallest Linux distro out there - merely the best known and most fully featured one. The very smallest is probably shown on www.linuxlinks.com which has a list of FLopply disc based Linux flavours - mostly simple one-task distros such as firewalls or IceCasters but with a few more rounded ones as well. Many are text only rescue kit style functionality but still with the Linux kernel.

    I think the source saying about a comparable linux for that miniWin

    I have tried “DSL” five month ago. Its cool fast. Good to troubleshoot pc in GUI mod.(or learn linux)
    Nothing else.
    Mean...
    Not fully support for additional software installing (there is also “NDSL” (90MB))
    Manual configuration for arc networking.
    More….
    But infract, not bad for 50MB.

    BTW i found 60MB WinXP. got to try :)
