they know what they doing, publicly insulting a religious leader and enjoying it. wat would your opinion be rehab them?

Exactly! why not! what does rehab do? It takes in people who does crimes and correct them.. rather than chopping a part of him would'nt it be better to seek the root cause?

What spearheads people to steal or do any crime for that matter? It is thought that spearheads people's actions and thoughts come from mind...so will there be any use chopping off a hand when you should have treated the mind?

Likewise these people insult Lord Buddha because they do not know what Buddhism is.. that's why lord Buddha said "Sabba daanang dhamma daanang jinathi" of all the givings the greatest giving is "Giving knowledge about what's right and wrong" chopping off parts is not a practical solution!!

come on man..!!being poor can justify it? you gota have better point than that..honestly cos i know you.

Just being poor doesn't justify the beating of women, but take all those arguments and beating there's bound to be a financial issue there else that person is sick to just simply beat women!

Besides you were comparing Sri Lanka (one of world's most alcohol consuming countries) vs Saudi (A country where its prohibited / least consuming) which in my opinion is not a very good comparison either!

That is only few things that Arab countries have done better than rest of the world. But if Arab had ample coconul and palmyrah as us, about 10 trees in every garden, I would like to see what would have been the situation. Arab produce dates but they are most used for food than to produce alcohol. So Arab infact lass far less material to produce alcohol than SL.

Did they? Who are the worst terrorists of all time? What are their religions? And who kill by the name of religion? Prabhakaran is the #1 terrorist. But he kills because of race, but not because of religion. What does Al Qaeda, Hamas and Afghans do? What's their religion?

So instead...you want to chop off a hand and keep the criminal silent and in the dark for the whole life? What I'm asking you is why not make an effort to bring them into society as good men? Is it a bad thing? you bring them into society as good citizens and make them involved in the productivity of the country!

Lets say someone steals because that person need money...so you chop his hands off he's gonna stay penny-less for his entire life...would'nt that be nicer to quarantine him for a while and make him regret for what he's done... in the meantime rehab them and bring him out as a skillful person!!!

Have you not seen such people?

Why would you ask about percentages? we are talking here about whether it is humane or not to such things to a criminal.....you know it happens in Saudi so speak about it.. what difference does it make 1 or 2 or 100 as long as the law is there? And its in action!!!

Read my lips.. I do not under any circumstances agree with beating women!

that being said..... it is still happening in Sri Lanka... if you look at the root cause of mostly its money.. that's what I said

    un-consufsed now?

    YES!

I say again... I admire that part of Muslims not being greedy for Alcohol (most of them)

But why we cannot implement? I really don't know! You should ask this question from MR in "Janapathi Jana Hamuwa"

Even though Arabs they do not take Alcohol they still smoke.. why not stop smoke? I don't think Koran encourage Muslims to smoke (which is far more deadly than Alcohol by the way)..so.. maybe for the same reason we cannot do it here for Alcohol in Sri Lanka!

But sincerely.... If it is ever possible.. then its good!

So chopping hands and legs have completely eliminated crimes in Saudi now?

    just said:
why cant we take it form them then?

Because even a criminal has his rights..everybody makes mistakes...including law-enforcement so, he is entitled to a fair trial to present his side of the story... he should be given the opportunity to allow someone he prefer to represent himself in a court of law...does these thing happen in Saudi? like for example those Sri Lankans that got killed and also the ones that are in the death raw even now..how are we guaranteed that they have given a fair trial..even our appeals have been turned down, visa's for our diplomats have been delayed etc. etc.!!!

So you call it fare? So to answer your question...

    1. We cannot adopt that system because the procedures involved in it is questionable

    2. We are in a community where we believe seeding knowledge is important!

My personal opinion.. Rather than chopping off a hand/leg and make him disabled for the rest of his life it is better to alter his bad thoughts and put him back into society as someone who has a productivity!

I don't think youtube videos will do it. I quoted Qu'ran, and I want you to comment on it. I don't want to hear guys who just twist what is in the Qu'ran to answer any critics.

OK if you say, that you are not an expert to debate about quotes, I'll take it.

I'll have a look at the videos, but I don't judge religious scriptures by eharing to presenters. I judge them by reading my self, or being analysed by neutral observers. Dr. Naik is a biased analyser. So you don't need to be explained more.

Aha... k k bro.. i didnt say u to judge what they say in the video... i just told u to watch and take some time to think of what the speaker says.. dont think that what u judge would be always correct.. be a little flexible .. discuss and take their idea's and then come to a judgement.. anyway .. dont argue aroung in these matters.. if you are not ready to listen to what others ideas ... then why do u expect that we should admit what u say ..
    . :rolleyes::rolleyes:

    btw..

Dr. Zakir is popular for his critical analysis and convincing answers to challenging questions posed by audiences after his public talks. In the last 6 years (by the year 2002), Dr. Zakir Naik has delivered more than 1000 public talks in the U.S.A., Canada, U.K., Saudi Arabia, U.A.E., Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, South Africa, Mauritius, Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, Hongkong, Thailand, Guyana (South America) and many other countries, in addition to numerous public talks in India.

you should answer my questions then ask me, i dnt see any answer here just questions, you dont have to ask again and again buddy, i clearly have stated i believe in punishment for deserving in order to keep the society clean..CLEAR??

but you should put your answer without beating around. k say a guy rapes and murders a young girl cold bloodedly..(practically happens in sl).you would say put him to rehab, and give your deepest sympathies for the girls family? thats wat i get from your answer. correct me if im wrong ;)

i see, so you saying again i give my sympathies to all women in sl, but im afraid we cant do anythin abt it cos the root cause is financial inbalance that we cant figure a solution to..:lol:

can i know your opinion about how such system works in a practical situation, ie implementing it in our country?or will you say ask president im here only ask questions..:lol:
