Hi guys, hope you are doing well. In my recent visit to Anuradhapura I went to Thuparamaya. To be frank, I was amazed by the countless amazing stone works and the stone carvings at the place. They are so neat, smooth and precise. It is unimaginable how can people in such ancient age have the technology and skills to do all these things.

You might know that the first stupa of Sri Lanka is Thuparamaya Stupa (some evidences say otherwise) and it is also the first 'Aramaya' of Sri Lanka. The Aramaya must have been spread over a large area in those days. Ruins of a number of buildings are spread over a vast area.

See below some captures I have taken at the place.
