Don't know about windows smart phones. Didn't they appear recently?
However Gizmodo tells that this is the first all-touch phone and not the iPhone.

I'm not telling that Apple is the best. But they played a significant role in the computer and electronics industry and they have a big history with big track records. Steve Jobs is one of the person who massively contributed to the idea of Personal Computers.

AGREE WITH YOU MACHAN ! APPLE NOT IS THE BEST .. BUT WE CANT CHANGE PAST![]()
i do agree with that no problem on that point.
what i was trying to say is apple did not invent the touch screen and no windows phone is new but windows mobile is way older than iOS.

Neither I believe that its the first touch screen product. But it definitely commercially succeeded in creating a mobile phone with the physical keyboard removed and that probably made a new industry standard.
Me too hate some of the facts about Apple. But there are some that I like. Apple products were always engineered to be efficient rather than just implementing something and releasing it to be the first bring it to the market. OS X based on BSD and unix is efficient. iOS is very strict about "resource utilization" for the apps running on it and that makes the iPhone retain its original performance figures throughout the its lifetime.
Android is essentially Linux which is also developed from Unix so core of Android is very flexible and efficient......both platforms have both cons and pros![]()
Of course both has their pros and cons.
Small correction though, Linux doesn't share Unix code base, although linux is efficient as much as Unix.
iPhone apps are suspended when sent to background (there are exceptions though). No apps can retain itself in the foreground. Apps holding onto resources for too long are killed by the OS. No services allowed, remote invocation is used via push notifications instead (no polling in background or via services).
All of the above features improves the performance. Apps can be distributed only via the App Store. All apps are code signed by the developer. Any modifications made by a third party to an app invalidates developers signature. All apps are reviewed before publishing. No serial numbers, mac addresses are exposed. All of these facts improves the security.
What about in Android?
