Sri Lanka’s new opening batting pair of Michael Vandort and Malintha Warnapura who played against Bangladesh in the home Test series, have been left out of the one day series and will join the Sri Lanka ‘A’ team now in England.
They have been included in the A team that is now on tour to England and will leave Sri Lanka shortly.
The opening pair did well against Bangladesh except for one blemish when Warnapura failed in his debut inning but came back to score 82 in the next test.
Vandort made a grand century in the first Test and continued to play well in the remaining matches as well. (TBR)
