What's the reason? If you have a refused stamp on your passport, expect hard time getting one.
Try a Schengen visa (with enough funds, and with of course the honest intention to come back). If you prove funds and enough ties to your home country, you can get one easily.

Machang i want to go to Poland for my Higher studies (Masters). Currently i'm living in Thailand. For student visa, do i need to go to New Delhi or can i apply it from Thailand?

- Unfinished education.
- Married, but leaving the spouse/kids at home.
- Leave letter from your company, tallying with the visa duration.
- Past travel history.
- Documents confirming your ownership of vehicles, real estate, etc.

If it's for a visit visa, I would suggest you travel to a few more countries with visas that you can get easily and could have become an migrant there (Singapore, China, Japan, Dubai pops in my head), so there are subtle hinds that you are a frequent traveler. A Schengen visa or a UK visa would have been perfect.

Also, try to make your itinerary the smallest. One day visiting something in SF, and then going to NY the next day is hard even for the native Americans. A small yet interesting itinerary will confirm to the visa officer that you indeed plan to travel and not mess around.

US visas are very expensive, so I think it would be better if you come with a strong application. If you plan to apply for a second time (after a clean passport of course), you can apply for a longer one (5-10 years) and save some money.
