And for the GTX295 theres not Genius about it, its only slightly faster than a HD4870X2 notice that most of the Games Tested are nVidia Optimized ones, look at the left4Dead results, that give you the accurate performance advantage of GTX295, It's not a Mind boggling card but it has beat HD4870X2 and it uses a little bit less power also. either way this card or HD4870X2 is of no benefit for owners of low resulution monitors and slow processors
I'm very much impressed by GTX295 though.
Unless ATI can sell the 4870X2 at 60% or less price than the 295, I would go with the 295. It's only the capital cost that is higher. Operational cost is lower than 4870X2. (lower power consumption => lower electricity bills as well as not needing a 1000W PSU)

It's just like AthlonX2 vs. Pentium D era. AthlonX2 was expensive, but lower power consumption AND higher performance.

Yeah I was Expecting it to suck up a massive amount of power but nvidia has cleverly Reduced the Clocks, and made it a Fusion of something between GTX 260 and GTX 280, and yes AMD will have to reduce the price of the Radeon but im not sure they have to reduce it by 60%, GTX 295 is not that good from what Iwe seen, if they price the Radeon 100$ less than a GTX 295 it will be a pretty atractive card indeed. Nvidia need the 55nm ones to Recover some Capital they lost during the last Months, its kind of too late tho.

"The card has two 8-pin and 6-pin Power connectors, and in the worst case scenario its maximal power consumption is 289W. This is slightly worse than ATI"

    Wt da hell 283 W...!!!!!!
