Heeyaheeya-wooohaheeya... it's unexpected preview time ladies and gentlemen. It's been a while since ATI introduced their Radeon 4870 X2 graphics card, and well... NVIDIA just didn't have a product around to counteract that steamy X2.
Today is the day that we can lift up a big chunk of mystery that you guys have heard about in the rumor channel for a while now. It's the GeForce GTX 295. As usual, the rumors were pretty accurate. The GeForce GTX 295 will be an all new dual-GPU graphics card from NVIDIA based on the 55nm GeForce GTX 200 derivatives.

At last, a preview of the Hd 4870x2 killer- the GTX 295

:D All I got to say is that this is DAMNNNNNNNNNNN IMPRESSSIVE

SPOILER- The DeadSpace results are unbelievable :D

    get a 30" Display as well :P

Yeah well... if it hit the market at that price AMD will be forced to reduce the 4870x2 prices.. because if not there's not much of a difference between the prices, and this still in Beta drivers mind you!:lol:

Anyway lets hope (as always:P) ATI can provide us a cost effective killer for this :lol:

    anyways.. pure genius this is

"Now the GTX 295 is a bit of a weird combo. See, it has the memory volume and frequency of two GTX 260 cards yet the raw shader processor horsepower of two GeForce GTX 280 cards.

Memory: 1792 MB (896 MB per GPU)
Shaders processor: 240 per GPU, 480 in total
Core frequency: 576 MHz (Texture and ROP units)
    Shader processor: 1242 MHz"

and cant help notice how many times the word "horsepower" is mentioned in the article

And for the GTX295 theres not Genius about it, its only slightly faster than a HD4870X2 notice that most of the Games Tested are nVidia Optimized ones, look at the left4Dead results, that give you the accurate performance advantage of GTX295, It's not a Mind boggling card but it has beat HD4870X2 and it uses a little bit less power also. either way this card or HD4870X2 is of no benefit for owners of low resulution monitors and slow processors
