yea it is but don't forget there are a few for 3d madeling and rendering engines even blender uses them

eg :- wings 3d
luxray and yafray rendering engines

When I started using linux i didn't have an adsl connection and it was very very hard to get new software.
Is there a easy way to download form another machine and get the installation file to another?
And are there any DVD's that I can buy in lanka containing FOSS?
If not are there any dvd's for download?

What's your internet connection ? what hardware do you use?
You can get linux CD/DVDs from the linux center at nugegoda.

For dial up you need the ppp scripts
#apt-cache search ppp
will show you the available packages.

The linux center is next to the French Corner shop in Nugegoda along the kalubowila road.

for apt based systems i use keryx, for yums/rpms, its nta prob, just DL and double click
