So my dear friends hope you’ve finished you’re A/L exam now you might feel that u lost some weight
In this thread I like to give you some advice about the things you should do after your A/L.

​

1st of all just rest enjoy the time. Go out of Colombo visit some places.
Get together with your friends and go to Museum. Totally have fun about 3 months
because this time won’t come back and if u thought u might do those stuff later
at that time you are not suitable to do those fun stuff

Then the next challenge comes what to do with your life? Where do you want to go next?

This is a tough question more than it seems. This only depends on what you Like to do

This is my 1st article about CIM (Charted Institute of Marketing)

If you are a person who likes to meet people, make every day of your life full of adventure
Or if u have an outgoing personality and if u don’t like to spend your all day on a chair
Looking at a computer in your entire life. The job for u is Marketing!

Marketing

Marketing is all the brands you see in this world and the position that those brands have
In customers mind (this is just for explain marketing goes more depth) as an example
“Panadol” it’s a brand if theirs a headache that’s the first thing comes to our mind

How did this happen ? there are other many brands like Asprin , Disprin , Paracitol
Answer is Marketing it has created a special position on our mind this thing is called
Branding its just a part of marketing.

Marketing is full of fun activities organizing occasions, building relationships, Advertising,
Planning , presentations and a all world with fun.

In CIM you'll learn about presentations, how to create relationships, Networking (not computer ) etc.
Marketing goes in depth from diplomas, degrees, MBAs to PhD s. so lot to learn

Registration costs 85 Pounds ( should pay only per year)

Exam fees 50 Pounds per paper

The amount u should pay for the institute for the acadamic session varies by institute!

(CIMA is also a good option but takes time to complete than this and its tough than this!)

This is my personal opinion and some of you may not agree with me , the CIM/CIMA are a good brand in Sri Lanka . I don't think it has so called world recognition.

Even thought we say we are an independent nation , this is one of the way that British are still controlling us .

Do you know the CIM has most recognition only in commonwhelth countries?
Do you know that CIM /CIMA both has members than is Wales-UK?

Once I got a chance to attend one of my friend's CIM convocation in Birmingham and I got a chance to read the CIM graduate list , I cant remember atleast one student from countries like USA, Canada or German. Most of the graduate were from commonwhelth countries.

Think twice before you make your decision , I belive that there are other option available for your education. Everybody tries to do CIM or CIMA . Howabout PIM or SLIM those are well recognised courses in Sri Lanka and other countries. Or even I belive foreign degree will be much better than CIM/CIMA.

Yes..This depends on what a persons interests are.....Whether he plans to go global or stay local or a predefined geographical area....As you mentioned CIM/CIMA aren't popular in the US or Canada......A degree would do.........Having said that I'm not sure there are degrees in Sri Lanka which would land u in dream jobs in those countries........
MY ADVICE..........
FIRST DO A SWOT ON YOU.........THIS WOULD GIVE WHAT UR INTERESTS ARE...
THEN CHOOSE THE APPROPRIATE FIELD..........

PLEASE DON'T TRY TO GO WITH THE TRENDS (I mean rellara ahuwenda epa) That's don't do because others are doing etc......
THIS DECISION IS ONE OF THE CRUCIAL DECISIONS U MAKE SO TAKE UR TIME

Yes machang countries like USA has enough universities to store prisoners
3rd world countries like us don't have that opportunity
Yes CIM has more recognition in commonwealth countries but not in USA
because in USA it's not hard to find graduates

But CIM is the easiest way to go for a MBA
after CIM we any one can do a MBA of Marketing in many universities all around the world!

machang try Carrier Guidance Center surely XP n others will help u!

ABS , CBS , Imperial College , etc check the second link u can find all accredited centers!
Me recommending another institute will be advertising
