OK. Now why two values?http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contrast_ratio said:The contrast ratio is a metric of a display system, defined as the ratio of the luminosity of the brightest and the darkest color the system is capable of producing.
Moving from a system that displays a static motionless image to a system that displays a dynamic, changing picture slightly complicates the definition of the contrast ratio, because of the need to take into account the extra temporal dimension to the measuring process. Thus the ratio of the luminosity of the brightest and the darkest color the system is capable of producing simultaneously at any instant of time is called static contrast ratio, while the ratio of the luminosity of the brightest and the darkest color the system is capable of producing over time is called dynamic contrast ratio.
You are better off buying them from a shop.shanX said:![]()

Yes, but some speculate it will go up again. No idea when.lahirumam said:Nice to see the RAM prices are going down...

Static CR= Both the lowest and highest contrast pixels are produced at the same time (obviously harder for the LCD system)shanX said:Bara wachana, no idea

Still, bara wachana :SAnusha said:Static CR= Both the lowest and highest contrast pixels are produced at the same time (obviously harder for the LCD system)
Dynamic CR = Say we take 1 seconds. In the 10 seconds, at t = 2s we see the lowest contrast value; at t = 7s we see the highest contrast value for the 10 second period. The difference between these two max and min values is the dynamic CR. Max dynamic CR is when the period is infinity.

I will sell these when the RAM prices go up again![]()
Mr.Alternative

5ms of response time is like having 200Hz of refresh rate ne? Don't know if both are analogous, but I feel like that.shanX said:Still, bara wachana :S
Btw is 5ms response time ok for gaming??
